Access Your VM Anywhere with Our New VNC Console

News

Managing cloud VMs should be simple, flexible, and stress-free. That’s why with our latest v0.8.0 release, we’re introducing one of the most requested features: the VNC Console.
Now, you can access and control your VM directly from your browser — no extra software, no complicated setup.

What is a VNC Console?

A VNC (Virtual Network Computing) Console lets you view and interact with your virtual machine just like you’re sitting right in front of it.

  • No SSH or RDP needed — connect instantly from your browser.

  • Graphical & terminal access — works whether you’re running a Linux CLI or a full desktop environment.

  • Safe & reliable — built into Raff’s dashboard, always secured by your account.

Why This Matters for Developers

We know developers and teams often need quick fixes and direct control:

  • Troubleshooting made easier: Forgot to configure SSH? No problem — log in through the VNC console and fix it.

  • 🖱️ GUI-friendly environments: If you’re testing desktop-based apps, you can interact visually instead of relying only on the terminal.

  • 🌍 Work anywhere: Whether you’re at your office desk, coffee shop, or on the go, your VM is just a browser tab away.

How to Use VNC Console in Raff

  1. Log in to your Raff dashboard.

  2. Head to your VM list and select the instance.

  3. Click “Open VNC Console”.

  4. Instantly, you’ll see your VM boot screen and interface — ready to use.

💡 Pro Tip: Combine the VNC console with our new VM reset & OS change options for full control in just a few clicks.
